When an epoxy coating is applied to both the floor and the walls of a room, the epoxy along the wall is called the cove. Coved flooring is a perfect choice when cleanliness and wall protection are a major factor, which make it the ideal choice for healthcare or medical facilities. This covering provides the same protection to the base of the wall that epoxy gives to the floor. High traffic areas where wall scrapes happen often, can do terrible damage to the paint and baseboards. The toughness of epoxy means it won’t be easily damaged while protecting the integrity of the wall at the same time. A cove also protects the wall from seepage and any cleaning products or other liquids that may damage the concrete.
